Spirituality

WHAT IS SPIRITUALITY?
Church on Sundays, bible study, prayer? Meditation, moon rituals, moon gazing and crystals? Or is it a mixture of both? It’s definitely a mixture of both for me. Yes, I believe in God. But I also believe in deities, spirits and ancestral guidance from those who have passed on. This topic can be very upsetting and controversial for some. But I’d like for you to believe in yourself and whomever and whatever you chose. As long as it’s based in unconditional love.
ARE YOU NEW TO SPIRITUALITY?

First things first, as I stated previously this is the road less traveled. It can come with judgment from others. KEEP GOING…even if it feels scary or uncomfortable. Remember that this is your personal journey and yours alone. Spirituality can be overwhelming so it would be smart to start small.
This will require commitment, research and self acceptance. Many of us have spiritual gifts and they can be overwhelming initially. I’m an intuitive empath and a tarot reader. I initially saw my gifts as a curse. (Now that I’ve become an empowered empath.) I see them as a true gift and a super power.
But with all gifts come responsibilities. If you discover that you have gifts, perfect them, appreciate them and try not to use them for evil. You will be held accountable for your actions and the choices you make. That applies to spirituality and anything you do in life.
6 SPIRITUAL TIPS FOR BEGINNERS
Meditation
Meditation can help you connect with your higher self. It can bring peace and clarity to whatever you may be going through. It is also a way for your ancestors to connect and communicate with you. Meditation isn’t easy for everyone. If you have trouble doing it on your own try guided meditation or listen to frequency music.
Grounding/Earthing
This is by far one of my favorite things to do. What are you waiting for? Get bare feet and connect with mother earth. This is very therapeutic and will help you get balanced. Whenever you’re feeling unstable. Walking barefoot is one option, another would be tree hugging. Your neighbors may look at you funny or think you’ve gone mad. But listen this actually works lol.
If tree hugging isn’t your thing then try sitting out in nature daily if possible. Try going for a walk go near water. Even if it’s just for 30 minutes. It has been suggested that grounding aids in better sleep. Helps with inflammation, anxiety and overall has many healing properties. Eating root grown vegetables can also help you ground.
Journaling
Write your emotions and thoughts on paper daily. It would be a good idea to start a gratitude practice. Write down all of the things you ‘re grateful for. Once you are in the energy of gratitude. The universe will bring more blessings into your life. Get focused on what you want from your spiritual practice. If you want more clarity in what steps you should take. Journal and ask your angels and ancestors to assist you. Journaling should be a big staple in your spiritual practice. Plus it helps you track your progress.
Finding Your Tribe
Spirituality can be very confusing. So it would be a good idea to find a group of individuals that can help you. People that you can relate to and in a judgement free zone. There are several spiritual groups on Facebook. These groups are for newbies and veterans and are very informative. You can ask questions, get information and guidance on all things spiritual and more.
Research
READ, READ & READ.
There are tons of books on spirituality. This is what will really help you understand spirituality on a deeper level. They can educate you on different deities, rituals, ancestor altars, and learning how to tap into and listen to your higher self. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!! So head down to your local Barnes and Nobles or head over to Amazon. Below is a list of books that can help you on your journey.

Patience

Remember to be patient with yourself. There is so much to learn and plenty of time to learn it. Don’t put unrealistic expectations on yourself and this journey. Develop a spiritual practice and perfect your gifts. Even if you start by devoting 30 minutes a day to it. Remember, slow and steady wins the race. Gradual progress is better than no progress.
