There comes a point when you get tired of waiting. For the text. For the flowers. For the “good morning” that never comes. So instead, you decide to love yourself louder. You play your favorite song, put on lipstick just because, and go make memories that don’t require permission.
This isn’t about pretending you don’t want love. It’s about choosing to stop putting your life on pause while you wait for someone else to press play.
I used to think love was something I had to find outside of myself.
But then I realized—I am the lover I’ve been waiting for.
I can make my own life feel like a rom-com or a soft, sensual slow jam. I don’t need a partner to light candles, pour wine, book flights, or take sunset walks.
Romanticizing your life is about making the ordinary feel magical. It’s about showing up for yourself in the small moments and saying, “You’re worthy of beauty, even now. Even in this.”
So, I bought flowers just for me.
I started dancing in the kitchen again.
I stopped shrinking myself to fit into someone’s lack of capacity.
And I decided that the way I talk to myself, the way I care for my body, the way I rest.. that’s love.
Let this be your new love story. One where you’re not just the main character.. you’re the muse.
“Fall in love with moments, not people. Your life is the romance. You are the story.” — Leesh Speaks
